What to expect

Despite the name, the beach is closer to six miles, all of it public and walkable end to end. Calm, clear water and shallow reefs at Cemetery Beach and Governor's Beach make it ideal for snorkelling.

Getting there

Owen Roberts International Airport is 10–20 minutes away; buses run along West Bay Road.

Good to know

Head to the northern end in the late afternoon for fewer people and a clear sunset view.
